Why 6.5 Creedmore?

because the .260 Panther name was already in use, and was proprietary to someone somewhere that didn't want to give it up.....and thus the .260 remington was born.....but Panther has a better ring then creedmore

6.5 Creedmore recoil will be the same as other 6.5 cartridges pushing the same bullet weight to the same velocity. Less recoil argument doesn't hold water.
There is no "free lunch" in ballistics.

It's funny that the 6.5 Creedmoor thing pops up all the time. I bought one last year. It's fun to shoot period. Whats wrong with that? No recoil, shoots very good, bucks the wind good. I guess marketing is a big factor, but all consumables, dies, everything for it is readily available. This is what the "old cartridge guys" look for.....".but can I get 30-06 ammo at small town co-op"?? It will be there soon enough. I had mine out yesterday and it's a 1/2 moa rifle with my reloads if I do my part, and managed, with a wind click adjustment, a 3" group at 544yards. I think it's limited to what it's capable of while hunting in regards to it not being a heavy hitter, but so is a 243, except the 6.5 Creed will reach out there better with more energy, and carry a bigger payload.

I still need a 7mm Rem mag, and thats a good thing too.
