Why all the hate with 6.5 Creedmoor

I bought into because after I studied it I believe it is the Best REAL SA non magnum 6.5 caliber cartridge made ! Name of cartridge=me@ns nothing . JMO. RJ

Anyone who used a 260 for hunting prior to the 6.5 Creedmoor showing up, needed no convincing. Good thing the marketing was there to wake up the others.

It's just fun. I don't think the hate is legitimate.

My good friend loves his 6.5 Creedmoor and I use a 7mm08. We will always make fun of each other for our choices of caliber, but it's all in jest. They both kill deer.

I have both the 6.5CM and 7-08Rem - if i had to choose it would be the 7-08 Remmy ! RJ

These threads are always funny.
Use the words "6.5 creedmoor" in a hunting forum and all the 260, 6.5x55, 7-08 guys get sandy Vs.
Go into a long range forum and it's the exact opposite. The creed is aight and the 308, 7-08 and 260 are worthless short range FUDD cartridges.
Hate the creed all you want, but its marketing brought alot of new shooters into the sport. Some of which might even dip a toe into the hunting side. We need more of that, not less.

Ha!! Well now I gotta screenshot this and send it to him lol!! He's the town Gunsmith too, which makes it that more fun as we ballbag each other in front of the clientele continuously!

My main rifle is a little Kimber Adirondack in 7mm08. It weights 6lbs scoped, with sling and loaded. It's got a nice short barrel for the tight brush we hunt in here. I have never shot a deer past 100 yards here. (Coastal BC). I feel the short barrel also assists the cartridge by slowing it down a bit! I know that seems odd, but the shots are usually so close that good quality ammo can behave like a fmj. It's actually better to use the cheaper ammo with it.

I used to rock a Ruger M77 in 7mm08, but that was over 9lbs... and got tedious on long stalks through the woods. Love the Mauser action though.

Are you gonna change your handle to “tikka Jim”?

I says we all chip in a handful of cash and get Todd Bartell up to Nunavut for “ pussy plinkers and polar bears”
