Why are AR mags still pinned if only bolts and pumps are legal?

Cops think they're above the law haha

There is a thread where I was talking to two cops about carrying off duty. I don't remember the exact specifics of the conversation, I could dig it up if you're curious, but basically they said because they are peace officers 24/7, they are entitled to.

The criminal code doesn't explicitly say that, but they assured me, it's fine. I'm not a lawyer, so who am I to say otherwise?

Anytime you call LEO's out on their crap, they just say "I'm exempt" and walk away

You got nothing to lose eh?

Medically retired, No dept , mortgage free. And all my assets are in my wife's name. Yes I got lots to lose but I'm standing up for myself , and my kids future. I didn't serve my country to be told what to do by a chipmunk that wasn't even born here.

There come a time when you got to draw the line and this is the hill I chose. It's not like I have anything better to do anyway... LoL.

I don't know a single veteran here that will comply either. A few of my friends are still serving, at least they are holding out until the last minute. Unlike all the cowards that willingly told the RCMP what they had for a few bucks as soon as they were told.

This is admittedly splitting hairs in a sense, but even before it was prohibited, wouldn't an RCMP officer be breaking the law if he brought his work issued AR to the range while off duty? I didn't know that was allowed
Don't know about "allowed", but I've shot with a few that did just that. probably breaking a whole bunch of pearl clutching laws these days. - dan

Also there's something deeply ironic about people who support Alberta separation calling Kalistani separatists terrorists...

While SOME khalistani groups are labeled terrorists by the Canadian govt, Sikhs For Justice isn't one of them... so by what measure is Mr. Gosal "a literal terrorist"?...
Same way your government thinks we are all terrorists/criminals in waiting. - dan

Probably yeah.

Perhaps the local department just doesn't let them/want them to. Never saw it here is all.

If you weren't a blind, deaf and dumb leftist you'd know that we have all heard that same sad line. - dan
The same sad line of "you're no better than the govt if you treat brown people the same way you think the govt treats gun owners"? That sad line?

Yeah it is ####ing sad that you guys are so quick to drop to their level.

They are total idiots, turning a cohort of solid citizens into a group of disgruntled dissidents. Look up Alexandr Solzhenitsyn and the Men who want to left alone.
