Why are HP9 prices so high?

most places seem to be charging $350+tax/ship now, around christmas sfrc charged $289 and a few other places did.Why has the price jumped so much?

They are made with better quality heavier duty parts than the 870 is these days. I've had 2 HP9's now and they are like a brand new version of an old 3" Wingmaster from a time when Remington cared about the quality of their shotguns. Easily worth the price and then some. The increase could be shipping costs, or perhaps that there was nothing else close to the quality at the old price point so they jacked it up or both. Hope this helps........

This. I took mine out to the range, bone stock, and shot it back to back with a buddies 590. The 14 inch HP9 weighs the same unloaded as the 590, and you can feel the difference in stocks when shooting anything heavier than trap loads. The HP9 is much softer to my shoulder, and the only things the 590 does better is the addition of ghost ring sights and smoother cylcing action, both of which I will be improving through aftermarket parts/internal parts polishing.

I was able to sell them a bit cheaper as I purchased almost 100 of them so I had much lower per unit costs as well as freight costs. I also bought all that were available at the time.

Honest to God there is a store in Edmonton (no I will not name them) who has the 780 home security for $350.00 - SFRC once had them I think for $89.00.

I bought an HP9 from a store in Edmonton who matched SFRC's price. Try One Shot Tactical I think he still has 1 or 2 Norinco HP9 Enhanced in stock for $300. best deal by far.

Easily worth the price for sure, but they do not compare with a wingmaster in smoothness or finish.

Any chance you'll be getting some more in stock soon? I've been looking at my options and this looks like it would fit the bill quite nicely.

Haven't got around to posting it on the ee but if anyone is interested in a used 14" hp9 let me know, need to free up funds for something shorter. I'll give you a much better price than these new ones ;).

only had the one off. Probably some of the HP9's that were defective. Throw on a rail and charge Big bucks.

Ahh Rivetc78, leave it to you to follow dealers around and complain about anything and everything they do.

Maybe one day you'll actually start contributing again instead of just crying.

So I just confirmed that we do have one left.

If you'd like it contact simon@oneshottactical.com

These HP9 Enhanced were cleaned, then a Jumbo Safety and Mag Tube Follower were installed.

On top of that they were drilled and tapped and a picatinny rail installed on them.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would anyone pay that kind of money for a Chinese copy, when the original, be it an Express, is available for a little more?

Besides the short barrels, any of the ones I've seen have looked to be better put together than 870 Expresses.

It's this diet I am on. It makes me grumpy on odd days, days that start with a 'T' and the 2 days immediately following the 12th of every month.

ive handled both 870 p and hp9 i like them both 870 is a little smoother but 350$more also 870s dont come in short barrels so yea hp9 was my pick and im happy with it. Ive shot many different rounds thru her with no complaints. Wax slugs, high velocity slugs, shots, home made slugs and so on with 0 malfunctions
