Why are kimbers so backordered in Canada

Kimbers do work very well. The reason they are cheaper than the equivalent Springfield Armory is pretty basic. The Kimbers have cast frames and are full of MIM ed parts, the Springers are forged.

In reality most 1911's these days have cast frames and MIM ed parts.
 
get a Taurus 1911 if you want a good and well priced 1911

And unlike some more $ guns it comes with a forged frame, slide and barrel ;)

Yeah, there is one in Ontario.... THE EXPENSIVE ONE... I called them by mistake when I looked up Roger, they wanted over $1900.00 for a Regular Warrior.... Way to much money, they were the most expensive of all the places I called.

Google Shooters Choice Alberta and you will get his site... I was wrong on the Calgary part, he is outside of Calgary.

Love my gold match, but had to wait almost a year before my dealer finally got them in.The wait was well worth it, had a ruger p345, that shoots well but wanted a Kimber because I had shot one that a club member had implored me to try.Love it now, so much so I bought the 22 conversion kit which works well too.Right now I believe that Williams arms has a bunch in stock in Port Perry Ont. The reason he says their hard to get is that the American market is so strong that alot of the companies dont really care about the market here. Just try to get a colt ar and you'll find out.
