Was thinking about buying a Smith and Wesson MP 2.0 9MM and started to watch the EE for one, well it seem like there is a new one up for sale every few days.

Why? Is there an issue with them?

Nope... I notice this all the time. Someone lists a specific pistol, others see the ad and think "I'll sell mine too... especially at that price!!!" Before you know it there are a dozen online!

I think for a lot of people it is the gun they start off with and upgrade as more funds become available or they find something that they like better.

I had one and it was fine for what it was, sold mine when I upgraded to a shadow.

Lots of reasons why people might sell stuff.. it probably isn't a single factor on its own.

I have one....you wanna buy it? :p

It's not the worst entry-level pistol in the world....but it's also not really the greatest. I certainly reach for my Sig before the Smith & Wesson, and if push came to shove, for whatever reason, the M&P9 would be the first to go. It's not something that I really treasure, I bought it because it was quite affordable and I wanted some variety in my handguns. My guess is that many people feel this same way... therefor the ease with which it is to decide to sell.

It's also easier and more attractive in selling a budget item during economic hard times compared to one that is more expensive/"luxury".

If I were able to sell my M&P9 I would likely recycle that money towards a Glock

They were selling for 560 new a couple of months back, then slowly increased. I've seen them as high as 800 lately, most likely due to the pre election panic buy down south.

Stocks are low, prices are high, people resale for pretty much what they paid, it's just good timing.

I love my 2.0, great feel in hands and eats anything. Trigger got even better little around the 1k shot mark. I'm really disappointed in the lack of aftermarket support versus the glocks tho. Much harder to find affordable mags, or mags at all for that matter and holsters. Let alone all the other gizmos you can think of offered for glocks.

I have a first-gen. Originally didn't mind the trigger but I put the kit in, anyways. It's my favourite handgun. Shoots anything and I've never had a problem with it. I even did my pistol course with it and fired 1000+ rounds of PMC ammo without cleaning and didn't have a single issue.

I remember when cabelas was selling them for $519. Shoulda bought one.

My buddy bought one from Cabelas at that price. He let me try it and I was ho hum about the 1.0 versions, but the 2.0 was an improvement.

I was pleasantly surprised and if he wants to sell it, I might be interested.

I don't think I'd sell mine. It's pretty good all around and still really like it. Sure it isn't too fancy, but it shoots well and I find it comfortable in my hands. When it does fall out of favour I'd still keep it around to use when bringing out new shooters to the range.

they sold huge numbers in canada, gen1 from select 449$ about 2 years ago, good sale. the only complaint is if you cant swap out the part and do your own repair you have to deal with grech outdoors.
