Why are there no compact 1911's imported into Canada?

I wish I could have been the first one to answer because I know the answer. All one has to do is look a compact pistol to realize it is EVIL! Write a letter to your MP and thank he/she for protecting you from a life of crime.

Well I got one that was imported and made NON prohib, and love it. Talk to Mark at Questar. This is my Kimber Ultra Tactical 2 That I got from him. This thing is a dream to shoot.

The CCO configuration: officer's frame, commander slide (4.25" with bushing) is the best option. legal yet no protruding barrel. I hope Kodiak outpost continues to bring them in, S&W 1911's are reliable.

barrel length

what is the barrel length you have on that?
can you post a pic of it disassembled?
recoil spring, barrel bushing?
I have a line on a slide and was going to try and assemble one like that from parts using a commander frame any help appreciated.

Nice Kimber Long Range Canauck! How much worse is recoil with the smaller, lighter frame and slide? She's a beaut!

When I get home at Christmass I will take it apart and snap pictures. Recoil is not any more noticeable than my fullsize S&W believe it or not. Mark did a great job on this package and I'm amazed he didn't do more, in my opinion it is a work of art..the only downfall with it is that pistol barks loud!! I was expecting a fair bit of muzzle jump when I first got it, but she rapid fires to center of mass without a hitch at 25 yards, and I'm a rifle guy who realy sucks with a pistol..that says alot for the pistol.

I just (today) got a 1911 Compact Sig Nitron. I was thinking of getting a Nighthawk T3, but just couldn't part with $3100.

4.25" bbl (Commander Slide) and Officer's frame (7+1).

Here's a photo from the seller:
