Why aren't there more of these?

 wow that thing is cool

now just hear me out for a second.. i know it would destroy a nice looking shotgun like that... but could u imagine that thing with a short barrel and a pistol grip  :shotgun: hahahaha :D

Hmmm - was the original nagant revolver double action and single action or what?

The "private" model was SA, the "officer" model was DA.

The reason I suggested the Nagant was because of the gas seal system on the russian nagant revolvers that allowed them to be fitted with suppressors as shown here.

If you combine that concept with the Mateba Model 6 Unica auto-revolver, as shown here, it would be a pretty interesting gun, to say the least.

The thread was more about revolver shotguns in general. I don't think anyone would complain if you had one built like that from the ground up.

I don't find that shotgun very interesting, other than as a curiosity. It seems like a crossbred bastardized design that would not really be good for anything. I can't think of a single application for which other designs wouldn't be better choice. But it is interesting to me that it is offered in 32 guage, I actually thought that guage was obsolete. Learn something new every day.

A friend lent my his to look at a while back... pretty neat little thing... For some reason I thought them to be more expensive then $1600.

Am I really the first guy here to point out that with judicious application of a hacksaw, you'd have a revolver that would make Dirty Harry feel inadeqate?

It'd be illegal as hell as a DIY, but it'd be a great range toy/conversation piece.

If it's made by the manufacturer at the desired length, it can be considerably shorter than 18".

Is a revolver a "semi-automatic" action? I thought not. :D
