Why Black and Green

The M16 was called "The Black Rifle" when it was first introduced because of their black finish and black synthetic furniture. Canada's M16 variant, the C7, uses green furniture. Black and Green.

Because the majority of Modern Semi Auto centerfire rifles sold in Canada come with black or green furniture (butt stock and fore end) and that's what this forum is about.

Huh, I always figured the "green" just refered to all types of modern "army rifles". My logic behind that was the army wears camo. Most camo is green. So yeah, I feel silly now.
