Why can I find so few details about the Adler Arms/Eagle RS-Q1/RSQ1, Non restricted?

Those are good examples.

But nothing beats the Mossberg 715T for the grand prize in the "variant" contest.

Yes folks. The RCMP has deemed this rifle to be an AR-15 variant.

I need to dig up the exact quote from Murray Smith, but when questioned by CCFRs lawyers on why the 715t is prohibited and the 702 is non restricted since they have the same receiver, his response was something like "They are not the same receiver, one is marked 702 and the other is marked 715t"....... That says a lot about how the SFSS operates.

Was there a transcript?

I've looked for the FRT all over Armalytics and can't find any record. Looks scketchy to me - probably similar to Sterlings copy of the MS but based on the Macabee. I'd be careful Sporting One of these around.

Interesting viewpoint, reaper. I agree that it would be nice to see more firearms owners winning in court, but I doubt that'll be the case in these individual matters. As it stands I myself am a law student hoping to go into firearms law, so I'd like to avoid any legal trouble until I've actually gotten my law degree LOL. As it stands I definitely would not have the money to do a damn thing if I bought this on a gamble and got challenged on it. I will stay away for now, but I really hope more info comes up - would be a great option for us canucks.

From the comment section of this youtube video:

"This is the RSQ1 Eagle Semi Auto Non Restricted .223 Wylde rifle.
This is NOT AN AR-15 but is a completely proprietary design.
It is overbuilt beyond “Mil Spec” standards.
The upper and lower receiver are made of aircraft grade 7075 T6511 Aluminum and are designed in such a way that it is impossible to drop in an auto sear and make it fully automatic.
It has a threaded 20” match grade competition barrel with rifle length gas system and buffer tube.
The only things that interchange with the AR-15 are the magazines, grips, and stocks.
This thing is an absolute predator slayer."

From the same comment section of that video from the guy in Manitoba claiming to be a dealer:

“Aditwiz Clout: The MDI was a cheap copy of the original 1978 patent which we own, there are numerous design features that are not on the MDI. It is secured to the upper receiver in a different manner which makes it an integral part of the lower receiver, the BCG pathway pattern is different, as well as a different magazine well. The trigger bed is narrower, shallower and shorter. There is no trigger box module. The pins hold the hammer and trigger in place. There are also little groves machined into the pins so everything is seated snug and doesn’t walk out.”

“They are made by Adler International Firearms in Abbotsford BC. Our website is currently under construction and will be up shortly.”

“It is not discontinued. Contact Defence Ballistics Dan at 1-604-774-0013 or one of our distributors Adriel Ayano at 204-894-3917 or email adrielayano@outlook.com

“We are working on a .308 version right now.”

What patent are they claiming to own? Patents only offer protection for 20 years, which would mean it is more than 20 years expired.

So I'm the "other" guy that bought an RSQ1 that had a sever keyholing issues.
Called Stephen Adler. Sent it back to him for new barrel, (it wont take standard AR barrels).
Got the rifle back in two weeks, (during Christmas holidays).
Accuracy was excellent as claimed by manufacturer. It did have some bleeding issues from the gastube and block that caused some feeding issues.
Called Stephen Adler and he shipped a new gas tube that day via UPS. Got it the next day. 5 min to swap it out and the rifle shoots flawlessly.
I can only talk about my experience with this rifle and the manufacturer, but the service has been excellent.
Agreed, I was surprised with the first barrel performing so poorly for the cost of a as advertised high quality precision rifle, but $%@# happens.
Its a great looking rifle that now shoots as advertised.
Hopefully they can work past some of the customer service issues that people are talking about on some other threads and give Canadian shooters another option for a NR semi rifle.

Just saw this video.Video says rifle is made in Chilliwack BC (Defense Ballistics)

4k for something that takes proprietary parts and has keyholing issues with a heavy proprietary bull barrel. LOL.What a heap of trash. People are delusional if they think this is isnt in the same category as the SAI/ATRS which are infinitely better(And why the people making the rsq1 are so shady with their marketing, where is in stock from an actual store?) If you get caught out in the bush with this its gonna be the same reaction as if you had a sai/atrs but at least those are good rifles.

I really want someone to do an actual review of this rifle. If for just the curiosity sake. I'm interested in the internals and the claimed proprietary components.

I suspect the manufacturer is keeping a low profile so they can get as many firearms out to customers before getting flagged ala-Sterling. We all know the lab will deem this a "variant" if it ever crosses their desk. "If it looks like an AR, it's an AR. Even if it isn't even close."

The rifle is a fantastic platform. I have put thousands of rounds through mine and never had a single misfeed and only one dud in that whole time (which I suspect was a bad primer). The rifle shoots accurately out to 650 yards and will punch paper at an easy half MOA if you do your part. There is plenty of standard AR parts so you can customize grips and stocks etc to get the ergonomics you like. I run mine setup an SPR/scope carbine style rifle as I like to regularly shoot out to medium distance. It is a super reliable and deadly accurate rifle. The only small downside in my opinion is it is heavy out front, but it has a 20” stainless bull barrel on it. If you run it with just a red dot, it is still very manageable as a “run and gun” type rifle.
As for the company, I have purchased two rifles directly from them and received both quickly. I can’t speak to the warranty because I have had no issues. The rifles run flawless, which is what you should expect from a premium product. Just my experience.

DO NOT BUY ONE,
They have been known for sketchy techniques to sell them, the rifle are SLR receivers with some modification to them, They've dealt with lawsuits regarding that, along with changing the manufacturer and model name every time someone gave them bad press.
They originally claimed IBI barrels, which was proven a lie, proprietary parts, also a lie.
Their status as of now is Prohibited as they use the SLR FRT.

Im going to link some stuff for your reference, this question has been asked before

Theres multiple CGN posts regarding the same issues as well if you swift through searches.

Rifle is not prohib. It’s non restricted, rcmp have checked mine out, no problems. Proprietary upper and lower, proprietary bcg, charging handle, barrel extension. has nothing to do with the slr lol and it’s not using the slr frt. Where did you read it’s using the slr frt

cuck version of the atrs, if it was truly "nr bro trust me" then the shady guy who built them would have advertised them and had them for sale at gunstores instead of multiple shill accounts on cgn and #######. also reports of fraud and preorders that took months because its some dude in a shop. also anyone who got the vaporware rifles reported ridiculous problems like keyholing then put the gun up for sale to make it someone elses problem, like you did. lol.
