Why can't I find the 'right' rifle for me

I have often thought the Rem 700 Mountain might be worth a look. If I could find one in 260 Rem and maybe have a CDI mag well installed, could be a decent rifle for most hunting I will probably ever do.

I think I might be willing to die on the tikka hill because the stock fits me so well, which might say a lot about what is the perfect gun for certain people.

Carverk has a cool setup though.

Also Superbrad the guide gun is nice but what is the ugly thing on the end of the muzzle?

Lmao..... It's the stock brake...... I am not a brake fan either....... But I have had some fun with it......

The rifle came with a compensator for the brake and a thread protector as well......

Whn all is said and done, it will have only the thread protector left....... But I must admit, I am having fun trying all of this stuff....... Not what usually comes with my hunting rifles.....

Buy one or two that fill your needs. Look at reducing weight on the EW by going with a lighter synthetic stock. That will improve both ergonomics and weight. It might double your initial cost, but will last forever. Avoid collecting. Most collectors, if they are honest, use a couple favourites and not much else anyway.

It's not fair to put that pic up with no details...

Ok: it'll work better if you put the projectile over the propellant. Word to the wise. ;)

I wondered why I was constantly getting squibs and 0000 on the chrony...... :)

There you are Brad, your reloading issue has been resolved. The amount of knowledge on this site is awesome!! Laugh2

Certainly a step in the right direction..... I will report back the results after I make the changes.... Got a bullet puller I can borrow?..... Need collets for .223, .243, .257 Roberts, 7-08, .308, .338 WM, .35 Whelen and .375 H&H...... Once I get them all pulled I will send it back to you.... Shouldn't take more than a few months.....

He was holding it with the primer facing up.

Actually I like to reload while hanging upside down from the ceiling like a bat..... Sometimes I shoot and hunt that way as well.... Big advocate of CRF rifles here..... :)

Thanks for the morning chuckle guys.... Glad I could keep you entertained :)
