You showed me the rash, and being that south of the equator, I can assure you, it isn't from guns. On the upside, a shot of penicillin should fix you right up. As for your urge to hunt with black rifles, it's normal, but forbidden. I think it has to do with the AR platform jamming when used around dirt and dust. It's a safety thing.

Oddly, the largest Mule Deer I've ever taken was a nice 6 pointer, taken with my M1 Garand. He didn't know that it was a semi-auto battle rifle and not a Tikka.

Their meat comes from animals that die naturally, after a life of food, fornication, and frivolity. The butchers have to follow them around as they age, and wait. You rednecks kill animals! It's cruel compared to the tickle raised meat in the super market. Black is an evil colour, and obvious meant for one thing; killing. Bad people like black guns.

Same thing can be said about handguns. Why can't I take my .22 revolver in a holster for rabbits or birds. A gun is a gun but apparently some just go off and kill people if not used on a range. The ban on using restricted and prohibited pisses me off so much. I know I am preaching to the choir here but WTF does it take for an anti to realize I want to hunt with my AR and pistols. As an old Fudd/Fart myself - not being able to hunt with the black guns doesn't hurt me one bit because NOTHING beats the Ruger No.1 in an appropriate calibre for hunting. As a younger fella though it was the other way around: I would have loved hunting with the AR rather than the classic single shot. When it comes to shooting on the range for fun and targets NOTHING beats the black guns and old war surps and I can see where that would really help the young guys that can't afford a half dozen guns - they could buy their AR (or black gun) and do ALL their shooting with it until their circumstances improved and they could buy more specialized guns.
I dunno if it is still the case but there used to be a ban here in Alberta against the .223 for hunting. There were claims it wasn't powerful enough for game work and I just shook my head in disgust. Cripes, guys - if it can kill a fuggin Talibanger it should handle a white tail at close range, right? Ya think? Hello, McFly!!!

Yup, still can't hunt big game with a 223 in Alberta. That rule probably came from the idiots that figured a 500yd shot on a deer out in a field they didn't have permission to hunt on was a good idea. Idiots ruin everything for the rest of us.

I have no idea why we let them make the laws. They don't seem to have a clue what makes things safer or have any common sense whatsoever.
