You and me both, OP. I was busy with university and getting established when C-68 kicked us in the nuts and I didn't even know what that sound was as my future 12(6) endorsement went right over my head. I would own a safe full of 12(6) toys if I had the license.

I'm in the same boat. One of the many regrets of youth is not having got a licence and a prohibitive firearm when I could have. I'm not into snub nosed revolvers but I'd love to have an example of the cheap .25 automatics that protected the civil rights advocates like Martin Luther King. It's interesting that in the states gun laws original developed as a means to keep minorities defenceless. Lynching is a lot easier if the person you intend to lynch isn't armed when you come for them.

They should just change the law so that any handgun with a sight radius equal to or less than 4.2 inches is prohibited.

I shot a revolver competition once when I lived in Northern Ireland, against a bunch of old cops who carried j frames way back when.
I was shooting a 8 3/8 raging bull, up against a bunch of 2" .38s. I could'nt believe the groups they got out of those little pocket rockets. They made fun of my over compensating!

they should change the laws so handguns are handguns, regardless of barrel length. there doesn't need to be two arbitrary classes. it's not like there was ever any evidence that criminals preferred weapons we now class as prohib, it was just a way to take them away from most folk
