Why can't I remove my SKS magazine?

test cycling. the first bullet won't enter the chamber.
I'm trying this solution: http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=115709.0 but I have filed it a bit and it doesn't work yet.

Test cycling doesn't mimic real function so the results can be deceiving. The full thrust of the rifles gas system is key. It's important not to ride the bolt back into battery as well. Let it slam like it's meant to.
The mags lips may need shaving, just watch the angle and observe the resistance points.

Never seen a SKS in 15 years that wouldn't feed with the original fixed mag. The crap SKS-D's that norc made almost always choked...but the original fixed 10 was stone axe reliable....

As to it looking cool with an extended plastic 5 round mag....each to their own.....poor rifle.....I hope you come back as a weatherby or a Holland&Holland in your next life, you've earned it!

Thanks everyone for the help! It was a struggle but so worth it in the end! :) I'm planning on getting a scope and eventually an AK-47 style stock for it!

Here are pics of how it looks:

How did I guess you live in Vancouver? lol.

I had the same problem. Soaked it in penetrating oil overnight and then put a cloth on the inside of the mag well and grabbed it with vise grips and it pulled out. Problem was it wouldn't go back in. Where the mag fits it to that little latch you need a real fine file and just keep filing and fitting until it goes in. Like i said a little at a time. I think some of the mags(not all are matching, very few!) were forced in with some type of a press or a big Russian hammer! Mine fits perfectly now with no issues. Good luck.
