Lower left seems to be were all my bullets goes. No matter what I do they go Lower left. I think my groups are correct and constant, only problem is that I aim the center of the target
I would love to see the same pattern but where I aim ,in the center.

Ive seen Todd Jarrett Video on youtube and use the same grip method, I also only position only the nail portion of my finger on the trigger. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysa50-plo48)

I dont know where to start maybe you can help me putting the bullets in the center or at least all over the target.

I am right handed , and I gettign the same kind of pattern with my .22

Thanks

Most of the responses are very valid and I'm sure, quite helpful. Just in case you want to really become proficient at pistol shooting you need to study the subject with great enthusiasm and dedication. If however your aim is to be merely a plinker, then you should disregard the following listing and just have some fun with some tin cans. But you'll never ever learn to shoot a handgun proficiently that way.

This is just a short list of books in my library on the subject of pistol shooting, many of them are in languages other than English so I won't bother listing them.

State Coaching Council (Western Australia) and National Coaching Council (Australia). A Shooter's Guide to Pistol Marksmanship. Australia, 1993

Antal, Laslo Dr. and Skanaker, Ragnar. Pistol Shooting.
Antal & Skanaker, 1985

Antal, Laslo Dr. Competitive Pistol Shooting. EP Publishing, 1983

Chandler, John. The Target Gun Book of Pistol Coaching. Peterson, 1983

Freeman, P.C. Modern Pistol Shooting. Faber& FAber, 1968

Shaw, John. You Can't Miss. Shaw/Bane , 1984

Standl, Hans. Pistol Shooting. Coles, 1977

Yur'yev A. Competitive Shooting. Fizkul'tura i Sport, Moscow 1985

If you want to settle for only one book, get Pistol Shooting by Antal and Skanaker. Ragnar Skanaker was/is the world's top pistol shot, on the Olympic and World stage, that is.

As a firearms instructor I see this with new shooters all the time .
here is what you are doing wrong. A target such as this indicates the shooter has jerked the trigger, causing the apparently good shot to strike in the 6:30 to 8 o’clock area. Here the front sight dipped low to the left by the time the bullet left the barrel. The only correction is to squeeze the trigger slowly up to and past the let-off point, while not disturbing the sight alignment or sight picture.

Thanks for the Great tips guys. At least now I know where to start now.
Ill dry fire my BHP 100 times every couple of days and watch my finger squeeze and front sight.

As well as all this have a buddy load a couple of snap caps in your mags when you're not looking. If you're both watching it'll soon show if you're flinching down or not.

Also you may want to try putting your trigger finger a little further onto the trigger. Some, like 1911's, like the very end of the finger pad on the trigger. Others like a lot more finger on the trigger. It won't raise your group but it may help align it sideways.

Try a plain white piece of paper for a target. Your eye can find the middle quite well, and there is no target to draw your focus away from sights. Some (like I) need a shooting lense with single focus to the front sight. If a buddy loads your mag with 2 dummies, balance live, you will see the jerk when it happens. good luck

One addition I haven't heard yet, is that you wany want to look at grip selection. I have very large hands so I find most handguns grips too small and the trigger too close for my 1ft pad on my index to land squarely on the trigger. A bigger or smaller set of grips can help tremendously.
