Holy hammer of Thor, just saw these on the shelf at Wholesale and had NO idea they existed. I'm sure they've been around a bit too, I out of the loop! Well my 4" long magazine should prove handy for these. If I can send them around 2500fps, I'll be a happy man. THESE might have passed through my buffalo. I'm thinking an unfortunate mule deer might meet one in a month and a half, not that that will be indicative of big, big game performance. When I make it back to Africa, I know the hammers I'll be loading up. Check another mark down for .375 versatility. Not many cartridges that will shoot well with its heaviest bullets twice as heavy as its lightest. (Referencing the 380gr Rhino vs. 200gr soft point).

Funny thing is; Randy Brooks uses the 270 grain TSXs for buffalo and he makes them. I think he's around 60 buff now.
A soft that passes through a buffalo is an expensive screw-up looking for a place to happen. That's what solids are for, when appropriate.

I've been loading these in my 375RUM for a while now I have pushed them too 2520fps but due to the amount of recoil in my 8lbs rifle I reduced the load too 2450fps.

I'm thinking a 375 H&H would be hard pressed to get them to 2350fps/2375fps...

They are extremely accurate in my rifle...

:)

I've recover 2 of those in smallish broadside moose.

Though I was not thrilled with the penetration I will admit performance was spectacular.
If I am going to pack a big gun I want to be able to reach the vitals form any angle...Even from the Texas heart. :D
So I switched to the 300gr in my Ultra....Don't know if the extra weight will help or not.

I have a few boxes of the 350's, but have not tried them yet.
To be honest I am more excited about the 380Rhino. :D

Here is a 3 shot 50 yard group/target the lower hole is from my 14" 45 Colt T/C Contender carbine.

Shot from bench, 375RUM + 350gr TSX @ 2450fps, sights = rear XS Sights tall Weaver backup ghost ring sight & front sight = NECG banded Masterpiece fiber optic post.

Never shot them with the scope mounted and probably never will...

Will these be so long as to require the chamber to be reamed with an extra-long throat? If so, would you then worry about accuracy with shorter projectiles?

I've shot one cape buff, and we recovered two out of three 300gr TSX's fired broadside at about 20 yards (Federal factory ammo). Perfect ammo-advertising mushrooms, about 98% weight retention. I was surprised that they didn't exit...I wonder about these newer ones?

I have two accurate .375H&H's and doubt that I would experiment with the throating on either one just for the ability to use this one new bullet, but then again...?
