Why did I check out the Lever Arms website this morning? Why?

Heck, I never thought I would pay a premium price for an RC again, but Lever arms just received a very interesting batch of RC rifles.

S/27G (1935 production run of only 3500-5000 rifles - more surprising is that the rifle survived the entire war, especially as it served on the Eastern Front).

SWP45 (Semi-Kriegsmodel with original stamped floor plate/trigger guard, stamped front bands secured with screws, semi-Kriegsmodel stock, no bayonet lug, etc.)

And a friend picked up:

BSW 1937

Lever sadly knew what they had and this purchase wasn't a deal like the bnz43 single rune I found at P&D, but neat rifles.

Now to find that magical SVT 1945!!!! Who knows, 1944's are becoming as common as Coca Cola, so maybe someone will find a crate or two somewhere.

Pics will be posted upon arrival.

Sadly they took the pics down and I didn't have the common sense to save them. Hard to believe it, but the stock and most of the hardware was correct and did not look replaced. The stock didn't even have the inlet for the front band securing spring, however as a semi-kriegsmodel the stock did have the stock take down disc.

Two of the three rifles also had the trigger guard capture screws, but none had cleaning rods or site hoods.

The SWP stock was the only one sanded/forced matched on the left of the stock. The other stocks were forced matched but not sanded. I am really curious to get a closer look at these rifles. It almost seemed like the stocks were original to the rifles? At least the SWP stock for sure...

I was pretty shocked, as I have seen the odd stamped/kreigsmodel part on a random RC here and there, but to have one rifle with so many of the correct parts was weird.

Pics are forth coming....

Hmm... so these are RC's? With proper features for the year? Sounds dubious...?

They did assemble rifles into skm and km configurations. And if skm then it isnt serialled anyways, but I would not think its the "original" stock.

K98's are a sickness I tell ya!

Waiting for a local chapter of Mauser Addicts Anonymous to start up in my area.... ;)

Camster: "Hello. I'm Camster, and I have a problem"
Group: "Hello Camster"
Camster: "My problem started with a ###y Czech model, her bluing was awesome. Then I had a Swede fancy... It seems my trigger finger is always sooooo itchy!(switch to regretful tone) I knew things were getting out of hand when I would wake up at a strange range with a handful of spent brass clenched tightly, and a purple shoulder..."

I could do with a local chapter of Mausers Anonymous too...

You fool me once, shame on you. You fool me twice, shame on me.

Well...shame on me, I was silly enough to check Lever Arms website yet again - only to find a new batch of K98's.

I decided to pick up a DOU45 in kriegsmodell configuration and a dual marked bcd/ar (centered). They had some other interesting rifles, but heck...one can only spend so much on RC's.

While on the phone, I asked how they lucked out into so many interesting and rare codes. I guess they just got really lucky, they received a few crates and handpicked through rifles and priced the as they seemed appropriate. With their great pics it is almost as good as hand selection but darn it hurts to pay the premium pricing on the rarer rifles.

I liked it better when I went to P&D and found a nice bnz single rune for standard pricing
