When I started collecting, I began gathering up anything I could afford. I recall having Swedish Mausers, Lee Enfields, Arisaka's, Berthiers, Carcanos, etc. Keeping in mind this was before the wonderful interweb, I became pretty frustrated when I wanted to do any hard core research on any of these because the generic gun books out there just skimmed the surface of what I wanted to know. That is the point I decided to narrow my focus to British commonwealth "stuff". While that is still an incredibly broad area, it is much easier to research and get books in one area vs. everything from everywhere in the world. Ammo hoarding is a little easier as well as most of my stuff is .303.
