Why do I need more than one ?

My .280 Rem really does it all, but yet I find my safe full of all different rifles/calibers, each particularly suited to [too] specific types of shooting/hunting I do(and others just because). Now I am looking at a 45-70 and 338 'cause I 'need' them. What is this illness?

Can't say much about the 45-70, although I do have dies brass and bullets(no gun) but if you live in the West you absolutely NEED at least one 338.

Yah it's funny how it works, for some reason I need a couple of 308's, 30/30's, 12 guages and other various calibers. And I am still buying more
Maybe I could do something more morally correct like collect stamps and kiss Laytons a$$

I collect firearms because I don't find any interest in stamps and an ex-wife collection would be too damn expensive.................

Without just my one "ex", I could afford to have many more guns in the collection...ah well, live'n learn.

It's an awful lot like women, you don't even have to collect them and it's expensive as well as a heck of a lot of hassle. Buy the gun, you will have many good memories from it and no regrets when you get rid of it. You will also have some money to put into your pocket or at the very least, another gun from a trade or whatever to get over the separation blues. bearhunter

this is not a support group; we are all codependent ( and may be carriers). a 45-70 is a must have

Because we owe it to all the different animals we hunt, and those that we may some day hunt, to shoot them with the perfect rifle, cartridge, bullet and load combination. Anything less would be..... well, just not right.
