It is not the only difference. The tip of the bullet (the ones you posted at least) is flatter.
22's are notorious jammers anyway. (yes there are exceptions, i get it).
Go back to the 80's and 90's and the advent of hollowpoint pistol ammo an the absolutely controversy and issues surrounding getting HP ammo to feed reliably in an auto pistol. The Remington 185 grain JHP, the 200gr Speer "flying ashtray".
Glock and Sig got it right early on, but it took a while for many manufacturers to get up to speed.
I suspect 22's will be like that for a long time to come, since nobody considers a 22 semi for serious work (and solids are prob more appropriate if you were to use it for that purpose) so we get chit ammo (that's not very cheap) and some expensive stuff that is priced like centerfire and everyone hoards so you can't find it anyway.
I use 22 for revolvers and self shuckers and forgo the autos for this round. Less headaches.
