What's fun in your statement is that it is absolutely true, but some people see the rifle just like you see the rest of the gear, like a tool. Not like an extention of themselves or something they will pass on to the next generation.
The axis is damn ugly and it does have a cheap stock, but it shoots and it shoots damn accurate, especially for a rifle of that price.
There's a market and a need for them as some people do hunt, but they do in a stand and only shoot 3-5 shots a year. So why would they need more than that.
But to me, it's still 1 more hunter out there, and it's a good thing. Makes less people that hate on hunting, less vegetarians and more money for the outdoor/hunting/gun industry.
Plus it always amaze me why so many people spend so much time hating on everyone elses choices, whatever the other guy shoots, won't change a dime in my life at the end of the day...
EDIT: Still have to agree tho, when you can get a Weatherby for 500$ on special, there's no point getting one of those.
