Why does the Canadian History Channel suck so much ??

You know it is not about history when one of their adds talked about how "Edison" invented the light bulb. I wrote them about that little misconception but never got an answer.

They did two documentaries about the First Special Service Force. One was called "Daring to Die" which the Force Vets loved and the other with the modern reservists redoing what the Force which the Vets absolutely hated.....

Still....both were head and shoulders, above what's on that channel now......

I didn't realize they hated it. i'd still watch it again

Didn't they do a series about the Civil War. Where did they get their history from Tim Hortons.
They did a story about the 1st United States Sharpshooters founded by Hiram C. Berdan.
It looked like they were the only ones that saved the unions left at Little Round Top.
The 20th Maine stood their ground along with 83 PA, 44 NY, and 16 MI.
There wasn't any mention of them.

Yep, and there were several Canadians fighting in the 20th Maine at Little Round Top that day, including two brothers from New Brunswick.

What happened to the History Channel in Canada?

Rocky Mountain Railroad.....

We have railways in Canada (Canadian Pacific Railway, Canadian National Railway, Ontario Northland Railway, ect.) Americans have railroads.

I worked for Canadian Pacific as a conductor. I have no interest in watching the show, but a friend sent me a clip where the engineer said something like 'If I come around the bend and I see a mudslide, I'm gonna ram right through it..." I have never once heard anyone say something so stupid and irresponsible. Nobody talks like that. Might as well just show Unstoppable in a loop. And this is a supposed educational program. Pathetic.

Why even watch tv?

That's a very good question. As I age life seems to be getting shorter and watching useless shows on TV just doesn't look like a good way of spending time.

I had very few channels I liked to watch like History,Discovery ,Space.Hell,I remember WB Network and TLC way back when it was very interesting.

When those channels went to drink I dropped TV altogether.I wanted my life back and I got it.

I'm 10 years plus TV free and zero regrets.
