Why Glock? Glock talk...

The factory sights do indeed suck ass.
I think the only mods that a glock needs are the following;
A) Aftermarket sights - Trijicon/Novak, accept no others.
B) Extended mag release - Individual's hand fit, might not be necessary depending on users hand/fingers
C) Grip retention improvement - I prefer skateboard tape, others go the stipling route.
YMMV, this has been what works best for me.

most of the anti-glock comments seem to come from people who believe a range session is putting 20 rounds through their gun at a time. most of them have not shot glocks, and base their opinion on the fact that it's plastic, "and could never be as good as steel". or because they try the trigger once and pull all their shot's into the dirt because they refuse to learn something different, or simply flinch all the time and blame the gun. they have never seen a ka-boom, but hear about them on the internet and spread it as god's own holy word. they are kind of like the die-hard crowd who proclaimed that BETA machines were better than VHS simply because that's what they owned and their stuff just HAD to be better than everyone elses....RIGHT?
learn to shoot fuktards. Glocks aren't for everyone, but they aren't blowing up every 10 minutes and when they do, you can be sure some idiot was shooting lead or mega-hot handloads despite the obvious bold-print in the user manual. how many of the people slagging glock because you shouldn't re-load them ACTUALLY load there own shells anyway? 2 of you? grow up. and stick to your Norinco brand of propaganda.

I have no problem with other guns. I like many other guns.
It just pisses me off when people say other guns suck when they have no experience with them. They just write what they read on the internet or what some dumbass tells them.
How can you say a glock is inaccurate? have you owned one? what loads were you using? how much trigger time did you have with it? Write what you know and not what you have been told.

Glocks don't suck, 1911s do. I'll own a G19 (not with the ghey long barrel either) one of these days. But I don't much care for the full size ones, they chew my hand to #### as I grab so high on the grip. I also don't like the lack of anything to get a grip on. The finger grooves are useless for as my hands are too big. Some grip tape makes a huge difference. The most important thing when getting a gun is finding the one that fits your hand, and Glocks don't fit mine. So why the G19? cuz for some reason it doesn't chew me up like the full size ones do, and it's small. I like that.

you're not supposed to like glocks. you can do what you like. and own what you like. just don't fall into the glocks blow up every 6 minutes OR they are plastic so metal detectors can't see them crowds. it's a gun. you get what you pay for in every case. but they are not magic, and they also don't suck.
now for the scary part: i manboy RELOAD .40 ammo for my PLASTIC glock22 and after over 2000 reloads and 5000+ factory rounds i still have all my fingers and my gun still works with NO MALFUNCTIONS of any sort. there are 15 other brands that can all do the same thing. and there are 15 other brands that can't.
i own a 17 and 37. love them both. very accurate. well, for me anyway. i went with a friend to the range when i was picking one out. he couldn't hit anything with the 17 and i was grouping about 2'' @ 10 yards ( 50 rounds) i bought it after trying it. with the 37 i wasn't as accurate at the start, but i am now. the 37 has a little smaller grip too. like i said, i love them both. on a different glock note.....are the compact glocks from questar modified at all to accompany the longer barrel? what has to be done to them mechanically to do this or is a longer barrel simply just inserted. i'm asking because i know of a 19 for sale cheap and i would buy it if he could just put a longer barrel in and not do a bunch of funky stuff to it.
