Why I hunt Coyotes

Isn't that what all Coyotes are supposed to do? Kill and eat deer and other prey? Unless your pissed at their untidy habits!:D

1 thing on other wild game but we have lost 2 dogs in 2 years. I kill them as I see them 7 in 2 years within 7 km of my home... YUP THEY NEED TO GO

I think its going to be a slaughter with this ice/snow we have. I watched a bunch of deer cross a open field a day ago, all them slipped at least once and would break threw and couldnt go all that fast. Coyotes run right on top.

I couldn't do it, I like dogs too much. I'll eat whatever deer, moose, ducks, etc. I shoot, but I just couldn't bring myself to shoot a canine. I'm not talking to you gents about what you do, just going on about my quirks.

I have a farm.
I shoot at coyotes but, other than sick ones, rarely kill them - just try to keep them away from the yard.
Since they outlawed strychnine (which was a great thing IMO), the rodents have had free rein.
I've sat and watched the coyotes hunting pocket gophers and it is truly amazing how many they get - its the only way to thin the numbers of those pests without getting my ass out there and catching them myself (which I haven't the time for)
It is also my opinion that since most hunters that come around here only want to shoot bucks (and mostly from their truck seats), the coyotes can have the rest of the freeloading deer on my place

:D

I was thinking the same thing, its been quite tough on the deer the past couple weeks with all the ice and frigid cold. Im sure a lot will meet their demise soon.
