Made this little video of me killing some paper with the Model 29 44 mag

Saw the first few groups I just held on and prayed. Nice little clover leaf.

I dont think I'll be doing that grouping twice in a lifetime. It looks farther away than it is by the way, not that hard with an 8 3/8 barrel either.:D

Enjoy http://media.putfile.com/Fun-at-the-range

If you use full screen mode you can get a good view of the groupings

Its been my favorite pistol for about 25 years

Nice group.

Do you roll your own or was that a box of factory I saw?

Just learning how to roll my own but I was shooting factory more than 60 bucks for just two boxes, no wonder I,m broke.

American eagle stuff grouped pretty good gonna buy some more when I get the dough

Nice vid.

You will find that when you are used to loading that your handloads will be more accurate and consistent than factory ammo.

Was that you shooting?

Did a whole bunch of 9mm with a buddy were going to do 44 soon when we get the dies.

Yes I was that handsome bastard, After all the years here I decided to come out of hiding and show my face, at least part of it.

Gotta be carefull I hear the Nigerians have a contract out on me, there sending out spam mail trying to trick people into snuffing me. I,m sure Jessica Mane Manes behind it.

Good shooting Tex, Clint would be proud of you :D

A buddy showed me how to greatly improve my pistol shooting, I try to focus on the front sight as much as possible, let my arms relax and put more finger onto the trigger. Etc Etc, I was gripping the gun to hard before, straight arming it and rigid as hell.

Not quite great combat stuff but I,m not really get into too many gun fights these days so I should be ok.

Zombies on the other hand----There toast

I,m going to make another with my Inglis High power and see how it does, I think I,m on a roll

Nice shooting! It will be that much more fun when you really get into reloading. I've got a 4" model 29 with factory ivory. Definately one of my favorites. Keep up the good shooting.

Your 8 3/8" barrel does seem quite tame compared with my 4". I always finish my session with a cylindre or two off full loads and that's about all I can handle...cause I actually feel my bones vibrate.

4inchers are pretty crazy stuff, remember back a few years back when Smith used to make an unported 4 inch 44magnum made out of lightwieght alloy perhaps titanium etc etc, called the Mountain Pistol or something like that.

I remember them(guns and ammo) saying it was the hardest kicking pistol they have ever reviewed and more than the Casull.

I think I,m going to add a 6 incher to the collection as well when I get the money, and or if I can find one. 6 and half would be nice. Maybe I'll work on my scowl and sort through my dads old tweed sport coats see what happens.

I take it you guys know that they are remaking Dirty Harry soon and its in the works.

Guess who's starring as Callahan?

Nope Eastwood said no, could be because he's almost 80

There putting THE ROCK (the wrestler/actor) in the position as Harry.

Kill me.

Whats next Rosie Odonnel as Digorgio his fat partner that got killed in Magnum Force, maybe Richard Simmons as the Scorpio Killer, and Hulk Hogan as the Mayor.

There taking one of the most influencial movies in american cinema(lone wolf cop, vigilante type etc etc) and making it into a fn joke.

When I heard about the remake I heard a wierd sound coming from my gun vault. Thought maybe I locked the neighbors cat in there by mistake or something.

It was my Model 29 weeping

Hey, can you get the same group(s) firing it 'double-action'? :p

I can get some pretty good groups if I load up the trigger before hand then fire but as far as lettin it rip quick unfortunetly not.

Hmm maybe this calls for a new video?

Next time I can afford more than 60 bucks for just two boxes of ammo I'll make another video of double action shooting, err missing.

Wait till ya get your dies! $60 must be pretty hard too swallow. I reload 44mag and luckily I only wasted money for one box of factory, will never do that again!

:D

60 bucks and that was just for American Eagle crap Imagine the good stuff.

As I am sure you know, roll your own is the good stuff ;) Cant buy much that compares.

Lets see another video of that long 29 and some real heavy loads, try some 300g speer bullets behind a heavy dose of powder. They really kick the crap out of me shootin my 4 1/4" Redhawk, much better out of my Blackhawk.

I'd still have to buy factory dont have the dies yet for loading 44, if you can recommend a good heavy factory ammo that is m29 safe I'll buy one box and do another video.

Maybe Black Hills or what ever the stuff is called? I hear it kicks like a mule?
