editing replies to cover up tracks?? no, nothing quite so mysterious as that. a large part of my job consists of doing professional writing so i often tend to go back to compulsively edit and correct any typos, spacing, grammer, punctuation, and make comments that i think i should have done the first or second time around. i find it leaves a much better and hopefully more articulate first, second and final impression than posting silly pictures of your relatives playing banjos.

given the incorrect usage of "noticed your editing" in your post, which really should have been "noticed you're editing," you may want to get into this habit of editing replies as well.

your help in making your boss aware of this thread is greatly appreciated. thanks so much!! however, will not waste anymore time dealing with wss so perhaps he can pm me back if it's felt necessary to continue this dicussion further. i think i've made my point by starting this thread

enjoy your shift at wss. if things don't work out there, you can switch over to the counter @ tims, but i think you'd need to have somewhat higher standards with respect to customer service plus a clean t-shirt. tips and pay might be a bit higher in tims so you could afford to get your vw diesel fixed rather than being forced to sell it. hey, but if you're supposed to be on your shift right now, how can you be on the internet, remember what i said about customer service and keeping your job????

MESSAGE TO MODERATOR have spent far too much time on this issue, THANKS for your astute moderation, you can close this thread/rant now if you want to as i'm outa her and won't be responding back in this thread. "Beam me up Scotty!!"

ps, appreciate everyone's asute and well thought out comments, thanks again guys!!! Maybe this rant of mine and thread, with about 1,900 hits will get us better service at wss as i'd sure change things quickly if i was the manager at wss. this thread makes it pretty clear what people think about service at wss.

If your such a ''proffesional writer'', don't you think that you would start all your sentinces with capitals? Back to basics here Greg.

BTW:
Wholesale spetializes in WHOLESALE
Retail spetializes in RETAIL

Why would a wholesale store not invest as much money in its wholesale? Its makes more money from wholesale than retail, and that will never change.

PS: I've had something simmilar happen to me at Walmart. I picked up half a doz arrows; they were marked wrong price. I just said I didn't want them for all the extra cost. End of story. Didn't bother the manager or make a thread. They just didn't get my sale, because I believe that NO store, no matter how bad the service is deserves this BS. It to me is like talking about someone behind their back. Everyone will know, but it's just not right.

gregc: If you went into the store with the attitude that you portray here, I can just see how things transpired. You start a thread, stir up the #### and when things don't go 100% your way, you scream and say you don't want to play anymore. Is this how you behaved at the store? I would escort you out the door. Sure WSS doesn't get it right everytime, all the time.....do you? You had already stated once before that you wouldn't post anymore, so what brought you back? Get a life and grow up kiddo.

Ain't you guys done with this yet???

Time to move on.....yeesh.

A "professional" should honor the price, even if the company loses money. In doing so you gain a loyal customer. Flip the customer off and it will cost you a lot more than losing $20 as that customer will make it his life's ambition to tell everyone he knows what jerks you and your company are!
Personally, I would rather lose the $20. You can always make up for the loss on the next sale.

IMHO this is the crux of the matter. If I store pisses me off I will NEVER shop again there period! I don't care if I have to drive across town or to another town. I will also tell all my friends & anyone else who will listen NOT to shop there either. People do listen to other people's complaints. After reading this post I wouldn't want to shop at WSS either. Doesn't really matter as there is not a store in Ottawa. I had considered trying their mail order service, but won't now. Price is one thing, but customer service is #1 to me.

Ok Gatehouse, my bad. How about commended, not blasted. My finger ranting got ahead of my already slow mind. I wont edit it though, in fear of my edit time being posted. :p

Hey, I dont' care, I make more typos than an elephant pounding on a keyboard...

Have pity on those who work in the service industry. That's a starter. Besides you are trusting these often shat on people for things like food.

But whatever, if the employee clearly doesn't care, then you know how it is. If they say they can't help you, it may be they really can't, and so they have to face a yelling customer who doesn't understand cost of sales or whatever the hell is going on with another department ####ing up, or etc etc...

Bottom line, don't get personal about it & feel free to go elsewhere by all means.
