Why is .223 so expensive??

So I guess when gas went up to 1.50 a liter and the oil companies were bragging about how they were making upteen billions in profits(not revenue, profits) you were not complaining one bit? After all they are running a business and can charge what people are willing to pay right...

In reality canadian ammo dealers have to charge more than us dealers because their cost is higher. The US charges $$ in licensing and fees to export ammo and that gets passed along. If you can find an acceptably priced source for slugs you can roll your own and save some $ over the long run. Or get a nicer .22 and try spending some time perfecting your shot with the iron sight.

Higher licensing and export fees were Obama's brainchild. Where's Bill Clinton when you need him?
