0.003" is absolutely nothing in the scope of obturation for a lead cup-core bullet. I highly doubt there would be any pressure difference.

.003” is a lot especially at smaller diameters.

The rule of thumb when pressing fits together is each thou of fit is approximately 10tons on the press.

Ok maybe it is not a good idea. Maybe a barrelmaker could throat the barrel properly. The thing is I have measured some factory .303 ammo at about .3105" so there is something happening in the industry. Neither fish nor fowl.
