Why is everybody selling their S&W M&P's after only a few hundred rounds?

I really like my M&P 9. I have shot a few different handguns in the past and was looking for a Glock when my wife bought a used M&P 9 outta the EE. When we had it at the range, well, It was an easy shooting pistol, worked great, and was quite comfortable. So I found a gently used range kit in 9 locally and have put about 700 rnds through it so far. Hers has been stippled, and has a fibre op up front while mine is stock. I think it's a fabulous gun, and it is on the list of possible buys for a .45 pistol.

well its been a mixed blessing day.
sun and rain..... mixed with a bit of THE NEW GUN ARRIVED!

haha, went out to the range and got wet playing with the new 5" Pro Core.
i must say, i was shocked by how much tighter my groups are with the new gun.
that extra inch has made a massive improvment in my grouping.
i rattled off 4 mags of the normal 9 then about 6 mags with the new pro core.

realllllly liking it!

at any rate, here is a pic of the new girl with the rest of the family and a little youtube iphone video i made at the range.
lots of wind and rain but i still sound like a kid on Christmas morning!

ill have to post the video later.
actually i just realized i kinda hijacked this poor thread.
ill go make a new thread about the new toy.

I own quite a few handguns. The M&P40 has been my gun of choice for IDPA - CQB. Accurate, reliable and I like that the slide drops when I load a new mag. If I sold a bunch of handguns, this would be a keeper.

some of us buy guns like women buy shoes :p

most of my guns were bought sight-unseen. I did handle a glock before buying a glock, but I knew I was gonna buy a glock anyways so in a way for me that was just a formality. lack of plentiful handgun stores is why a lot of handguns have to be bought on "blind faith" and at times, it just doesn't work out so they get resold.

at least by some people. these folks have exposure to 50,000 guns throughout their life, but only a box of ammo on any one gun. it suits them fine - or rather, the gun DOESN'T suit them so it gets punted.

others buy, use, keep, adapt, amass, hoard, go bankrupt. i'm in this camp. we put dozens of boxes through a gun, adjust to how it does / doesn't work or fit, and then buy another new one for more flavours.

and with M&P being affordable, plentiful, and "a glock for those who hate glocks", it's no wonder there's TONS of them in circulation. people love to hate glocks, and for them the M&P is the non-glock glock.

When I finally got to hold an M&P9... I was dismayed at the ergonomics. I grabbed a Beretta 92fs... And even though "chubby", which should be a weird fit for my small hands, it fit like a glove.

Still, I want one. Just can't afford either. :)

Which grip was fitted - there are 3, and what exactly 'dismayed' you about the ergos, even Glock guys admit the M&P has good ergos.
