why is it so hard to keep CZ457 10rd mags in stock?

It seems like the entirety of Canada is out of stock, which I dont really understand. The body is injection molded and could be made 1000x a day and the spring and follower are simple stamped metal.

Does anyone have 2 POLY 10rd's theyd like to sell me? Once I have them, I'll be able to make my own (3D printed body, bent 0.024" wire spring wire) and maybe fill in this global shortage

First, no issues Googling them if metal works: ht tps://www.cabelas.ca/product/423/cz-brno

Second, CZ USA provides polymer magazines to the suppliers for Canada, so likely trump tariffs and other global supply issues apply.
 
The canadian gun industry appears to make orders once or twice a year or worse and thats it. There is no restocking when items are going low for some reason.

Somehow Cabela's is mostly exempt from this (US supply chain?)
 
bangalor, if that was the poly, it must have been the 'last'. they only list metal now. several vendors have 'metal' but looks like poly is unicorny.

Yeah it was the metal ones.
I was not a fan of the plastic 5 round that came with rifle.
Will keep my eyes open for them

The last time I needed steel 10 round magazines and they were out of stock in Canada I bought them directly online via their European website, they came through via FedEx IIRC

Nobody is buying that, that is a 102% markup from the rest of the industry. *Those are also polymer not metal.*
