why is it taking so long?

i dont know if this is normal or not but i sent my application in 5 weeks ago and theres still nothing showing on the online application status. I call in and they dont have it in their system yet.

How long does it take for them to enter the application in the system from the time you send it?
 
It would help someone answer you if you told us the province you applied in, and what sort of license you applied for. The wait times can vary by province, and by license type.
 
"...from Ontario..." That doesn't matter until your application gets there, but you're dealing with unionized civil servants in the summer.
 
I live in southern NB. I sent my application north to the Miramichi in the first week of June.

The application form says to allow 45 days to process, including the mandatory 28-day waiting period, but the clerk I spoke to on the phone when I called 50 days after sending my application said that it would take a minimum of 60 days.

I finally received my RPAL last week, roughly 80 days from the day I put the application form in the mail.
 
actually it was received,, registered mail. even after that it took two months to show up online
just did all my interviews, me and references on friday,, now i wait again...

man I did my none restricted on May 20th and did my restricted on June 15th they got my papers on the 20th of june man it just takes time, I just got my PAL licence in the mail on Thursday that just passed and when you get that licence in the mail it will be well worth the wait just be patient.

that is very true , cause I know some guys that did there just none restricted and got theres like 2 weeks before I got myn where I did both none and restricted, cause if you did your restricted they will do a deeper search on you .

well I live in Manitoba and It took me around 65 days to get my None Restricted and restricted licence .
 
From BC, gotta be patient, sent my renewal in Jan/13 got it Jul/13. Showed online 6-8 weeks later. For my LTATT (expiring on Sep 2), faxed membership renewal form and membership card with 2013 sticker Fri Aug 30, received via email Sep 3 after long weekend!!
 
I sent mine out very beginning of July. Got a letter in the mail last Friday requesting more information. So I called them and apparently I missed checking one box in the conjugal partner section. The woman corrected the problem and said that my license was now issued and I should get it in 2 weeks. So somewhere around 70 Days for me. Nothing showed up online either until after I called them.
