Why is my Kriss Vector Gen2 9mm getting more accurate with use?

The last two range days have been pretty exciting. At 25 metres it's now hitting consistently inside a 2 inch circle. I haven't treated it to any anal "break-in" routine... I just shoot it, bring it home, wipe it off, and put a few oily patches down the bore. There are approximately 150 rounds down the barrel, which I didn't think was too many. Are you guys getting similar results? or better?

Could it be you getting more accurate?
 
Compared to what before?

2" at 25 still isn't spectacular, the gun should be able to shoot better than that.

I'd second the comment about it being you getting more accurate, getting a feel for the gun. If that's the case, I would expect it to keep improving!
 
Like driving a new car for the first time.

the more than me you spend driving that new car, the better you become with that new car.

Same with guns, especially one as unique in its design at the Kriss rifles.
 
Getting used to shooting it as well as break in of the action and copper equilibrium in the bore could all be adding up to a more accurate package...Life is good.

I get that with bolt guns, or better. Never with a semi. I am quite happy with under 2 inch groups... some were just over an inch. I am using a SPARC AR 2 MOA red dot... :) probably not the best optic for precision shooting.lol

Definetly not :) Sand bag it with a 3x9 power scope, that will show you what its capable of!

...At 25 yards? Even a semi in a pistol caliber should be able to shoot better than 8 MOA...
 
I've never felt a semi that required more effort to charge than the Vector. After disassembly though, the charging handle moves back and forth with nearly zero resistance, indicating that all the drag comes from the recoil spring and sliding bolt assembly.

I have no doubt that wearing the gun in will improve consistency of operation, and likely accuracy.
 
I had a 1911 in .45 acp. When shooting cast bullets my accuracy went up as the bored fouled. At some point accuracy began to drop as the build-up continued in the bore. I only did a cursory cleaning of the bore to get it back to the "just fouled" diameter and accuracy went back up. Borrowed my friends ultrasonic barrel cleaner and my accuracy went south until the barrel fouled up again.
Changing to custom cast oversize bullets fixed the issue until I broke the barrel link. New match grade barrel allowed me to shoot relatively accurate with the standard cast bullets again.
Shot IPSC so I never cleaned the barrel just before a match.
