why is the equipment exchange such exclusive territory?

how long does a member need to be here before access is granted? I did apply a few days ago. not sure what the standard time it takes would be.
 
I waited for like a year and a half (at least) to be pre-aproved,
and another 8 months after I paid the $350 access fee,
so 2-2.5 years would be a fair aproximation.
 
I learned the code word, the secret handshake, AND had to let 3 guys have their way with my collection.....I felt kind of mentally abused after that, but access was granted.:p

And you guys paid??:D

Voice of logic here......wait for the mods to give you access. It only took me a day whenI joined up, my buddy's took a couple of months. It depends on the time they have to get to you. With all these members and what they have to do, we should be thankful that some people volunteer to manage this site.

They are not paid to do this, and hopefully they will get to your access.

BTW, there shouldnt be any exclusivity here. (I think)
 
All EE newbies please make sure you read the rules. My psychic abilities tell me that the next answer to the next question is: No you can't post replies, all conversation and inquiries on the EE must be done by PMs. ;)
 
thanks for the replies guys , I had a cheque ready but I somehow got access in the meantime, must have been a glitch. i got 350 worth of booze anyway .
