Why is the SAA restricted ???

When you think about it the SAA is not semi auto, it's a manual action...
I guess they restricted it because of overall length but in my opinion this pistol should be non restricted....

If common sense had anything to do with, there would be no such thing as restricted/prohibited firearms.
 
All handguns are either restricted or prohibited, unless they're deactivated, in which case they're considered non-firearms. Restricted/Prohibited classifications is just another way former Lieberal Governments have tried to limit firearm ownership in Canada.
 
Well, some of them. If it's an antique it isn't. Basically, firearms are restricted because people are easily firghtened. Once you get your head past the point where you see that firearms regulations are really not "about" firearms at all, but are a vain attempt at controlling people to allay the crown's subject's fears, then you will understand the whole reason for our "gun laws". - dan
