Why is the SX4 cheaper than the SX3?

Just curious, all these upgrades and improvements but the SX4 is priced cheaper than the SX3. Is it cheaper quality metal being used? Looking at picking one of the 2 up, just can't see why I'd go SX3 when the SX4 is "new and improved" for a couple hundred bucks cheaper.

Right now there is a $100.00 rebate on the sx3 and if you shop around you can have sx3 for the same price or less than the sx4 .

But why is the SX3 more expensive in the first place? You would think the new molds and parts the factory needed to make the new SX4 would warrant a price increase, and yet it's cheaper, where did they recoup the cost? Different (less expensive/quality) steel?

They made some changes around the trigger guard material and forearm. Frankly I don't like it as much as the sx3. I think FN is making a price point semi now. Check out what Randy Wakeman had to say about it.

Awesome thank you for that. Answered all my questions. Guess I'll stick with the sx3 then, thanks again for the help!
