Why is there threads showing? Is my barrel not tight?

I recently put together a Savage 116 Alaska brush hunter in 338wm. Great rifle for the money.

Sooo as I am looking in the breach I notice the receiver threads that take the barrel have a few rings showing(more than I have experienced). As if the barrel threads are too short or its not threaded properly.
I purchased this brand new, everything appears correct, otherwise.
I don't have any other rifles that show these exposed threads. Is this safe? Is it a characteristic of the 116? 338wm?

Do you see the receiver threads or barrel threads? If you see the receiver threads from the breech that is normal. If you see the barrel threads in front of the receiver I don't think that would be. Hard to say without photos
