Why isn't the AR 18 the AR 15 for Canada?

Original stamped AR-180s, (Sterling, Howa, Costa Mesa mfg) as mentioned above, are prohibited by OIC. I've fired a couple different ones, and one select fire AR-18 in the USA.
I love my AR-180Bs. Accurate, lightweight and dependable. No Loktite needed! Don't like them? Don't buy one. More for those of us that do. For such an awful gun they sure get scooped up on the EE fast.
Ah well. Let the haters hate. In the meantime I'll continue to enjoy my AR-180B like I have for many years now! LOL LOL LOL

It wouldn't even NEED to be in the 1000 range. We have Canadian mnaufacturers selling AR15s for 1400+ and these are eaten up!

Is it impossible to mill an AR18 style upper from aluminum?

$$$$$

At the price point you'll end up to, you might as well go for a modern hunter, or aftermarket T-97 parts.

If you could get it in the $1K range, NR, with decent accuracy... Yah, sure, it would probably sell fairly well.

But you can't.

To get it at a price point where it would sell well, you need an economy of scale that the Canadian market simply won't support.

This is one case where I definitely don't mind being proven wrong.

The market is flooded, and we suckers have set the price. We eat up $3000+ NR's worth half that, or less, because WE set the price.

Well if you think 3K is a lot, Ammo and training cost even more by a long shot. we "suckers " rather have NR firearms for all the obvious reasons... Hunting and the freedom of not having to ask permission to go somewhere.

Ive spent more on way less in my younger party days. You can get cool NR rifles on EE for super cheap. I see them all the time and also buy them up...lol...

And for the ones that shoot once in a blue moon they can always get a Norinco, KelTec or that new 180. throw a TRS25 on it and have fun.
