Why no “Antiques”section in EE?

Seems to me a ton of old Marlins, Winchesters, other 100++ year old firearms etc etc are sold here.

And so I ask: Why no section in EE for antique rifles and other f/a? Put ‘em all in one place.

There must be a good reason I am missing.

Antique has a legal definition when it comes to firearms, it's not just any old gun you think is old.

True, but your response doesn't address the OP's question. Under the legal definition of firearms, I think a dedicated "antique" category wouldn't be a bad idea. From personal experience, there's a brisk interest in antique status firearms, especially handguns in good operational condition.

I think the idea may be to not attract undo attention to that category, even though I don't think it makes a difference - the grabbers are aware of whats up

I've often thought that the "Blackpowder and Antique" section of the EE should be divided into three sections:

1. Traditional muzzleloaders

2. Modern Muzzleloaders

3. Other Antiques

I’m only interested in pre ww1 guns. I’m even more interested in 19th century guns
I don’t browse regular EE because to much plastic

There used to be an "Antique" section, has it been removed ?

because its age doesnt change its caliber or use......If I want a rimfire, I look in the rimfire section.

Probably same reason there is no “archery” section in EE. You can put archery equipment up for sale under hunting related but not enough demand for its own section I suppose.
I get your point though!

Likely not enough to warrant a seperate section.

They could put Archery and Airguns together.
