why no 10/30 lar15 mags?

When the design for the 10 round LAR mag was reviewed and approved as legal by the RCMP they also stated that no 10/30 round LAR mag would be legal.

The 10/33 glock mags are designed for a pistol with no possible argument against that since glock only makes pistols, and rifles that take those mags came later.

The LAR mags are arguably just a rifle mag repurposed for a pistol. The 10 round version is a pistol Mag since 10 round AR mags didn't exist, or were rare before the LAR mags. The RCMP would admit in this case that a 30 rd mag is standard size for an AR rifle, and therefore could justify saying that a 10/30 LAR mag wasn't designed specifically for the pistol.

LAR mags are pistol mags, made specifically for a pistol. If they were manufactured as 10 round AR mags then "repurposed" they would have to be pinned. This is explained in the regs. If a mag were made and stamped LAR pistol mag 30 rounds then pinned to 10 to be a legal Canadian pistol mag it would make sense that they would be allowed but however this is not the case. It has nothing to do with being rare or not existing, I have no idea where you came up with that information. They are pistol mags, made for a pistol, that happen to fit and function in rifles.

Oh well, does it really matter. get 10 rounders to blast 10 rounds, and 5/30 mags to have the look of full size mags...

Do you know of a steady supply...? You say it like its no big deal...
You're right, there isn't a steady supply and the Armtac back orders for just 3 mags per person sound like they extend back over a year (maybe more?). But if you can get your hands on one, then you're GTG.
