Why no Benelli MR 1 luv on this board?

I'm unaware of the pitting issue; was this something isolated to the initial production run or is this a recurring problem? (first I've heard of it, to be honest - but I'm not necessarily up-to-date). "Converted shotgun". Good one. ;) (in fairness the MR1 probably takes lineage from both the M4 and CX4 Storm).

All fair points, although add-ons (1) are pretty much a given for any rifle, fixed front sights (2) are pretty common on ARs, etc., 6.8 SPC (3) does bump the price up, is expensive and hard to find. As for (4), after reading RobArms last 'fan letter', that pretty much sealed the XCR's fate for me.

There's always room in the safe for one more... until you get that second safe. ;)

I think it was just the teething issues, due to poor quality materials, the original link was on shotgunworld. (thread now dead, but was about the mr1) since no one has mentioned it, I assume they got it worked out.

missed the "fan letter", though this might explain some of the hostility towards RA/AR.

the removable front sights made things much easier for optics. I have no desire to co-witness while hunting.

The MR1 is a rifle that, with some fixes, could be a good buy.

1- I figure an 18.5'' barrel with a built in flash hider;
2- left side charging handle;
3- mag release that you can actually reach and use with your trigger finger;
4- consistent brass ejection;
5- more modular front end;
6- easily removable sights.
7- retail no more then $1500

Did I miss anything?

1. Or at the very least 18.5" threaded.
2. Yes (ambi option like the CX4 Storm would be nice).
5. The optional tri-rail is pretty good, actually.
6. Yes (or flat top).
7. I believe the model with the collapsible stock is now $1,550.

I will succed with the pictures... What store in the state would you recommend to order the tri rail... JP.

I personally think it is ugly.it looks like a rem 870, a cx-4 storm, and an ar15 had an ugly child together...

but this is coming from someone who doesnt think the hk sl8 is very ugly... haha

[I One of the most important reason i luv my MR-1 is on this picture (the first one ever posted on CGN... 75 gr Hornady Match Best ever group average is in the.6... Cheers. JP.
