I was looking at the Bond website and see that they make a .45lc/.410 derringer with a 4.5" barrel. I wonder if any Canadian dealers are going to import any of these. I guess I could see if Questar could get one for me.

I've put various ads out over the past few years since Bond Arms came into being but I've never been able to get any kind of feedback on how to get one of their derringers. I also wanted a .45LC/.410 combo, albeit in a shorter barrel, but it didn't happen. A 4.5" barrel is not really my idea of a derringer but I can't seem to let go of that o/u combination.

If anyone can find a way to get some of these babies here I'm sure they would sell.

4.5" Isn't too short! But I don't see them for sale in Canada, yet. I can't find anything specifically prohibiting derringers in the F.A., so with a 4.5" barrel it should be restricted.

However, if you take a look at the m.s.r.p. of the 3.5" model, it's about the same price as a Glock 17 in the U.S.A. Which if we extrapolate, would mean the Bond Derringer would go for about $800-1000 Canadian.
Even at that price I'd buy one.

They do seem to be available in various calibers. 9mm, .45ACP,, .44, etc..
If i had a choice I'd go for one in .44mag to match my Marlin 94.

I think your enthusiasm would be dampened a bit the first time you dropped the hammer on a live round. Newtons third law of motion has not been repealed. Given the grip shape, I would imagine you would get a serious bite from the hammer spur when it rolled back in your hand.

When Trilium Sports first opened, and Taylor's gunsmithing was up front, one member walked past me with blood dripping from his hand. He was walking from the line to Taylors for more .44 mag ammo.

Hey, if you want one bad enough, try Questar.

They (American Derringer) will custom make ANY barrel length derringer you want. I dealt directly with the owner of the factory and she made me a alloy frame 45 colt deringer that was 4.25" long.

How much did it cost you and how did you order it? (locally dealer or direct?)

nomames has it for sale. I sold it to him. IT is new unfired. His price is about what I paid for it as when I ordered it our dollar was at 62 cents...US

i've fired a nickle plated jobbie in 38 spcl - i think i still have the scar in my web to prove it- very bad mojo
