Why no rimfire exchange?

OK... getting a good response. A rimfire rifle exchange, to the exclusion of rimfire handguns since they already have a venue, seems to be the concencess so far... so, how do we go about hoping to get this implimented?
 
I say, that if its rimfire alone, it is to go in the rimfire EE. The category should be about the cartridge type (I.E. shotgun, rifle, handgun etc) .
There wouldn't be enough of each type (handgun/longguns) in rimfire to clutter it up so much you wouldn't be able to find what you want. Better to ask for 1 EE and get it, than 2 and get none.
 
Yup. Rifles and pistols should BOTH be in one EE. I don't see the logic in splitting them up...if it's a rimfire, it should go in the rimfire section whether its long, short, classic, tacticool, blue, purple, or pink. Yes, pistols have their own venue...but so do rimfires (H&S arms). If you are going to go rimfire, might as well pull all the .22's from Hunting and sporting, precision, and pistols and put them in one place.

No different than the shotgun forum...if it shoots shotshells, it goes in there. Everything from classic O/U's to zombie guns. If someone was selling a 410 pistol? It would still go in the shotgun section.

I for one, would be pleased to be able to look for a sig mosquito without having to dig through 30+ pages of 226, 220, and 229's

So my vote: 1 EE forum...if it shoots a rimfire cartridge, it goes in there :)

A rimfire rifle EE would be a definite asset with the volume of rimfire spoken
on this forum and the number of items in current EE sections.
 
A rimfire exchange would be great! maybe keep the handguns together in the pistol/handgun forum though, or a subfurum for rimfire hanguns/restricted rimfires.
 
I like the rimfire EE idea. I'd vote to put both rimfire pistols and the rimfire rifles in there though. The real reason rimfire is given a special distinction is because of the ammunition cost. Someone looking for a cheap hundgun plinker shouldn't have to try and sort rimfire from centerfire over in the handgun EE.
 
my vote is for a combo rifle/handgun rimfire EE. being the rimfire is so distinct, it would be easy to sort through them in a single EE focused on rimfire, then having to sift so deep to find them hidden about in the other respective EE forums.
 
I just checked...theres like a whole 16 .22 pistols for sale...think you guys that are against the handgun/rifle combo could manage sifting through all 16 of them to find what you want?

C'mon, it is a R-I-M-F-I-R-E forum we are asking for, not a .22 rifle forum.

I like both rifles and HG's, I don't want the guys without RPALS making me have to search 2 forums for the .22's I want.
