Why no "Scout" or Mohawk version of the 783?

It took Savage a while to get around to it, but they did eventually release the Scout version of the Axis.

Why hasn't Remington made a Mohawkesque version of the 783 with carbine length barrel and iron sights?

They have 16" version ,a 20" youth version as well as the standard and magnum versions. A "Mohawk" version would be pointless imo. As far as a scout is concerned......meh!

You typically want your new product well accepted in the market and then you can introduce new variants to boost sales.
