Why not minor in Standard ?

Hmm...Sounds like a problem with the match application form. Shooters should be required to declare major or minor prior to the match. It should not be left as major by default.
 
I agree that for almost everyone shooting minor in Standard is not a good way to improve score. Proven again and again (yes, I tried it, too... :lol: ) BUT, say you are very small, have a bad wrist, getting over an arm injury, etc. - it may well be a better way - FOR YOU!

I see some of you are missing the point, too, by talking about shooting 160 PF....If you're not going to shoot Major, for goodness' sake reduce it all the way to 130 or 135 - and set up your gun for it. 10 lb recoil springs - whatever it takes. You may like it -some do - why not give it a try?
