Amen Cuzin BrotherGuns are one thing, hunting is on the highest level for me. Give me a Winchester 1894 and I'll be happier than a pig in $hit, as long as I can go hunting!

Well there you go guys, we don't need to discuss firearms and cartridges anymore. Shut this forum down!
Of course. And the OP is also 100% correct but coming ona website called Canadiangunnutz with your first post and inform members that all you need is a well paced shot from a .308 Win is hilarious. There’s people who truly believe they need 100 different guns to put holes in paper when 5 would suffice for everything from 25-2500 yards. Or 50 different guns to hunt when realistically 5 guns would cover every possible animal and scenario they’ll ever hunt.
Look at hunting for example. A 12 gauge pump with both smooth and rifled barrels, a 22lr, .223, 6.5mm and. 30-06 has you covered for every animal in North America. Really, you could get by with just the 12g and 30-06, but that’s no fun now is it?
It’s funny how marketing over the years has convinced most that we need so much different equipment. It works to get our money….
It was a 9mm that could blow out the lung in a humanI use the 556 for everything from fire ants to polar bears. According to the internet, this military round is so powerful it will blow the lungs out of a human. Also I'm currently typing this from inside a Grizzly bear's stomach, but as soon as reload I'm shooting an entrance sized hole in him and walking out.
by simply omitting .270 you show your own arrogance Sir, you know nothing John SnowGood calibers are: 25-06, 30-06 and 243 been around for decades and have proven themselves in the fields before range finders, wind readers and fancy electronics.
I've shot gophers with a .54 cal flintlock.So my 375 h&h isn’t a good squirrel gun??
Most of us have tried to thin the herd more than once, with limited success. There’s people who truly believe they need 100 different guns to put holes in paper when 5 would suffice for everything from 25-2500 yards. Shot placement matters…I've shot gophers with my 300 Weatherby Magnum with 180 grain Nosler Partitions at 2 grains over max.
It's called Using Enough Gun...![]()
More likely since the advent of the Metallic Cartridge more likelyWoah, new guy gives simple advice that's been discussed to ridiculous lengths for 20+ years on this very forum, neat!
