Why Russian SKS ( SImonov ) better than Chinese SKS

My Factory 26 SKS is as nicely finished and as good quality as any Russian SKS I've seen.

It's far "better" than these refurbs on the market now.

As far as I know Chinese SKS were made on Russian machinery that was given to China after it was disassembled. So yes those are just like Russians rifle. Original Russian is well made and Chinese rifle is well made. But I would choose Russian.
As to Refurbished one. It is depending were it is refurbish. Not all mechanics are the same. Some were stored outside and other were under controlled environment in military warehouse, where those rifles were checked regularly for any defects. It is the same as you park your car outside or in garage. Were would you park it if you want to have it for a long time. There many suppliers on the market now. You just have to know which ones are good.
Little hint: Do not buy painted bolt ones, there is probably rust under that black paint. Original blueing is what you need to have.

Early chinese sks /26\ = Russian SKS "except the stock"

The soviets sent there tooling and instructors to China in the 50s so the early ones are the same high quality, late ones vary in quality

The material to build barrel were different. China does not have the mine of nickel, so the barrel built before Chinese found that rare earth could replace nickel was easy to become over heat; but after that, the metal to build barrel is fine or even better. As I have the both, I can't see the difference when in range or on display.

I mean nickel is one of the component of the steel used to build barrel. The steel are always different classifed as the component.

My factory 106 seems to have all milled parts, threaded barrel, everything but the stock matches serial # wise, and everything is a tight fit.

Don't have a russian to compare to, but it feels as good or better built than the marlin 30as. Both have a very solid feeling.

I've had a couple of Yugo M59. Pined, threaded, even a couple of stamped receiver Chi-coms including some from the infamous /26\ plant, and acouple of D & M versions. Quite a few Russians too. The only ones left in my safe are 4 from Izzy and a Tula. The others just don't stack up.........The Yugosare decent though I will say.

You mean Izhevsk and Tula is the only one left. Both Russian. Why if it is not a secret?

I like my chinese SKSs better then my russians. I find then lighter and sleeker looking.

Plus the chinese SKSs are all so different "which is kind of cool"

I'm confused. Does sergey96 run westrifle.com?
If he does, why didn't he just come out and say "We have some unissued SKS rifles. Limited quantity." in the first post. The fact he didn't is why I found it odd, it was like he was referring to someone else's website.
