I may be wrong, but look at this video @1:01 do you see a bayonet? SKS? Digging into the surplus in Ukraine.? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Because the CZ's got classed as prohib. I had a hell of a time finding an SKS. Wolverine still has them.

Cannon

I live in Fredericton roughly 60K in population. There are 3 Canadian Tire locations within 40 km of my home and 2 gun shops within about 15 kms and the gun Dealer is about 80 KM away. All of them have SKS on the shelf. They're as common as Savage axis units here.

I guess it depends where you live, here in Vancouver are SKS's are almost everywhere, Canadian Tire, I saw a few at Reliable, Italian have a few most of the time etc.

Ya in Winnipeg u can pretty much find then everywhere, no shortage here, u can pick them up all day long for under $200. I laugh everytime I see them on the EE for big bucks. Lol

If it was on BBC it must be true, just doesn't explain why every shop I go into they have SKS stacked to the ceiling like firewood.

What made me ask is the shape of the bayonet....not the standard Russian SKS one. Didn't know AK47 had bayonets. Rarely see them.

Rare ? Not around here .
Everyone I know has at least one of them and my tiny town CT has a whack of them for sale . I've always wondered just how many of them are in Canada , but the number must be huge .

While we're on the subject… I am not at all familiar with SKS models… Could someone here point me to the best model to look for? I want a removable magazine model… Is the Chinese or the Russian better? any difference in quality? I have seen some very old SKS's for sale that are Russian that were built in the 50s… Are they preferred over the new ones?
Sorry, too many questions, just point me to the right one and I'll be off for my hunt...
Thanks guys!
Btw... I'm not trolling, I'm just stupid, I don't know anything about these things and I want to get a gun in 7.62×39…

SKS-D and SKS-M have remoable Magazines by default otherwise u have to get a Tapco Upgraded or a Upgraded SKS to accept Removable Mags and thats it what is best well best to look at them hard to tell depends on Use/Refurbishment/Storage Care and etc

I believe the word you're Looking for is modified. I don't see it as an upgrade at all...

Op, read the stickies and yooperj.com and all you questions will be answered.
