Been browsing around the forums today;
Seems to be alot of hatred for Airsoft & paintball markers etc.

I can understand you dont want an underage forum cluster "F"
but they're actually a good way to teach kids and lets say the "irresponsible" people a way to respect and handle a firearm.

Personally I never understood shooting plastic b.bs with a replica that could cost upwards & sometimes more than the real thing...

But than again... I own a monsterous Paintball marker that with the money in upgrades I've spent, I could have a crate of sks'.

To say the least; I get the same smile from firing off 22bps that I do from any of the real deal. (& with less the worry and safety precautions.)

:nest: ?

You've been browsing in all the wrong places. :p

Actually, I like paintballing, and so do my kids, quite a bit. To make matters worse, I would like to get a really good airsoft rifle...when I have extra cash some day.

Just seems everywhere I've looked has been "dont post airsoft, paintball" etc.

I do understand the fascination with airsoft, no different than mine with paintball.

Just a matter of personal preference I suppose.

I have a tippman 98 all duns up like a AR clone. Spent a hell of alot of cash and used it twice. It now sits as an expensive paperwight. No more money to be spent on anything other then real steel.

Yo airsoft and paintballs be strait up wack. Dey fo suckas who cant git real guns like ppl in Japan. Paintball aiight if you a shorty but dis forum reps da real gunz

i will not bad mouth a paint ball or air soft, i have and use them as tools, trigger control on an air soft? no, no long range ability. i have been at 100 yards and could see and move out of the way of the paint; air soft at 75 yards, no way. if you wish to use .50 round balls? please try black powder.

I used to play paintball quite a bit. My last marker was a dynasty shocker, max flo tank, halo hopper, freak barrel kit. Then I thaught it was the cats ass, now I wonder why I spent 3500 to shoot balls of paint at 300 fps. Like stated before this is a firearms fourm.

The difference is that we are trained to not point a real firearm at people or things one does not wish to destroy. With paintball, you shoot at other people for real.

A little off topic but Dirt, type in English. My spelling is bad but come on, its one thing to talk in slang but i know for a fact you were not taught how to spell that way in school.

I view Airsoft as something created as an "alternitive" to owning real firearms. Like giving an indoor Cat a toy mouse. It's pathedic when you look at it.

Paintball is ok, as it is an alternitive to actually shooting people :D

Dude its because people that want to talk about real guns, dont want a thousand airsoft & paintball threads to filter thru.

proper place for the proper thing. :yingyang:

No rant gravyboat.. it's called Newb FAQ. Simply asked a question. As for everyone who gets upset.. well, so happy you took the time to express yourself.

Frankly; I love all kinds of firearms, as for pointing a Paintball marker at people.. thats the name of the game. You dont aim a marker with the intent of destroying someone.

You can talk all the shyt you want, police and military use markers for training, some even have custom glocks set up to take a larger caliber bullet with a paint "lead".

Again; was a question to an impression I got from some of the other threads I've read.

*add* This is somewhere people can relate and share, get along and not have to deal with the nagging women's protest v.s C19.. (eg)
Yet some jump down anothers throat just to express your negativity. Oh the powers of freedom of speech. I wouldve thought with everyone with the same interests, and everyone facing some of the same threats to our rights.. we'd all get along a little better.

Eitherway; thanks to some for your interest and comments.

I love playing paintball. Lots of fun and a good workout too! The site owner wants to keep it off the forums, but I don't think its an action of disrespect.

We have some very fine paintball players here on CGN  , including those who participate in the Wasaga match :yingyang: , and one CGN'er who's a published author on the subject and has been with the past-time since close to its inception !

2 very helpful replies, and I appreciate your opinions and input. Question answered. Wasnt my intent to dump on anyone or disrespect any wishes in regards to the forum.
I respect everyone's opinion, and I'm sorry that some people missed the question or took this way out of context.
However; I still thank everyone for their shared interest and replies.
