I noticed that shooters ridge is now making a 25 rnd .17 hmr/.22 mag magazine for the 10/22 in those chamberings. I googled it and a couple Canadian stores are selling it. That would be a fun plinker with a little more smack and range than the 22 lr, still pretty cheap to shoot too.

I don't understand the magazine cap. If there was another crazy guy who went on a spree - whats to stop him exactly from carrying 10 5 clip magazines? Or just buying a pinned magazine and unpinning it? This law...is ridiculous.
 
I remember as a young pup of 21 years, walking in to the SIR store in Winnipeg, plunking down $750, show my FAC and sign a book, and walking out with a Colt AR15 sporter. One of the first accessories I bought for it was a 40 round magazine. Back then, mil-arm was about the only real outlet for accessories. Anyway, a trip out to the local gravel pit, and $20 worth of ammo would be gone in less than a minute. Those were the days, but, if nothing else but stupid, the 5 round mag limits of today are certainly a cost saving measure. Of course, I too have the M1919 and can (and do) let a full belt of 250 rounds fly downrange in less than 4 minutes. It's kind of neat watching the dust cloud indicate the target just before it falls.

bro, dont look from common sense in gun laws. When is the last time you heard of someone committing a crime with a "black military style assault rifle"?man we should seriouly do something about this law because it doesn't make sense.

Now we're up to making ar pistols just so we can have 10 round mags. What a joke.
