Why would my CZ be misfeeding?

I don't post much here but enjoy reading almost every day.

I hope someone can help me with my CZ455's feeding issue. The issue happens on the 5th round of a magazine. When ejecting the 4th spent shell, the 5th round tends to pop up vertically when attempting to chamber it. This happens about 50% of the time.
I have a feeling it has something to do with the magazine but I am unable to try another magazine without ordering one in (which I would rather avoid if possible).

Is it possible the spring simply needs to be worked more or are the feeding lips out of spec?

I am hoping this isn't anything too serious. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it!

I agree with you. Try another magazine. Is there anybody in your club with a CZ? Whereabouts are you? If you were in Vancouver, you can certainly try my mags.

Unfortunately there aren't many around with CZs at my range that I know of. The magazine is a polymer of some sort. I tried pinching it but it will just flex back and doesn't make a noticable difference.

Its a magazine issue without question. Buy a steel 10 round mag for $45 (pm sent) and move on. You can disassemble your mag, clean it, and lightly lube the spring, make sure there are no burrs in the mag housing, on the follower, or on the spring. Lube the spring with a rust inhibitor, it doesn't need to be wet, just coated. If that doesn't work buy a new magazine, really.

The cz I had would do the same thing and eventually the problem fixed it's self. Don't know how but might be because of ammo change.

I would suspect the magazine as well. Buy another magazine, or more. Hey it's always good to have more than one mag! :D I have 6 mags, 4 metal, 2 plastic. All work flawless.

Hmmm... I'm thinking there was an edge or burr on the inside of the magazine lips, and got worn off with enough use?
